Greenlawn Memorial Park, established in 1888 in Newport News, Virginia, is a historic cemetery spanning 50 acres. Its design reflects the 19th-century park-style movement, featuring winding roads and natural landscapes. Central to the cemetery is a 25-foot obelisk, erected in 1900, marking the mass grave of 163 Confederate POWs who died in 1865.
